Bridging the Gap: A plain-language Roadmap for Epilepsy Patients
For 50 million people worldwide, an epilepsy diagnosis is overwhelming, often due to confusing medical language and the added weight of depression. To address this, I created a patient-centred guide using Plain Language (Grade 7 readability) to demystify neurological data and reduce anxiety around diagnostic tests like EEGs. This approach goes beyond providing information—it empowers patients to manage epilepsy confidently and take an active role in their healthcare.
