Endometriosis diagnosis often takes years, with pain often dismissed or misdiagnosed. This project bridges the gap between clinical complexity and patient understanding.

I transformed medical research into a clear, compassionate guide written in Plain Language at an 8th-grade reading level. I use relatable metaphors like the “Iceberg” problem to show why standard scans often miss 80% of superficial cases. This approach eases patient anxiety by explaining surgical procedures like laparoscopy and stating that pain does not always match disease stage.

This guide enables patients to clearly understand their condition, ask effective questions, and make informed decisions about their treatment options. By offering practical tools and clear explanations, it lessens confusion and anxiety—helping patients feel confident and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
