Case Study: Designing “Strong, Balanced, and Informed” for the Perimenopause Transition
For many women in their 40s, perimenopause brings confusing physical and emotional changes. Symptoms like sleep issues and hot flashes often leave patients overwhelmed and unsure where to find clear guidance.
To bridge this gap, I streamlined clinical research into a patient handout focused on lifestyle interventions like bone-healthy nutrition, strength training, and sleep hygiene. Using Plain Language (Grade 6 readability) and compassionate framing, I reduced patient anxiety and improved information retention.
This project empowers patients with clear, manageable steps and self-advocacy tools, turning a daunting transition into an informed, supported journey.
