Beyond Hormones: Bridging the Clinical-Patient Gap in Menopause Education
Menopause is often seen as just hormonal, leaving patients confused and overwhelmed by symptoms.
To bridge this educational gap, I transformed complex clinical data into a “Whole-Body Experience” visual guide. I used Plain Language (Grade 6 readability) to simplify diverse symptoms, from “brain fog” and mood swings to cardiovascular shifts and bone density loss, ensuring the information is accessible and reduces patient anxiety.
This project validates the patient’s experience by showing how menopause impacts the whole body, not just hormones. It offers a clear, empathetic roadmap and equips individuals with language for self-advocacy in clinical consultations.
